Pennsylvania hold its primary elections tomorrow, Tuesday, May 15th. Visit the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO to see the list of all of our endorsed candidates. The highest-profile race in Philadelphia is undoubtedly the contest to win the Democratic nomination to replace the retiring Congressman Bob Brady. The AFL-CIO has proudly endorsed Rich Lazer in this race.

In a crowded field of contenders in the 5th Congressional District, Rich Lazer stands out. During ten years in public service, the last two as Philadelphia's Deputy Mayor for Labor, Rich has fought for working people in Philadelphia -- more importantly, he's won for us, too. If your union brothers and sisters or your friends and family in the 5th CD are still unsure about whom to vote for, send them this interview with Rich Lazer by the Inquirer's Holly Otterbein. Rich has based his campaign for Congress on good, union jobs, healthcare, and education. More importantly, those goals have been the basis of his work, and he's delivered, again and again, for Philadelphia's workers.

On Primary Election Day, union members will knock on doors in the 5th Congressional District to make sure that union households show up to vote for the AFL-CIO's endorsed Congressional candidate, Rich Lazer. Join us to Get Out the Vote at the Sheet Metal Local 19 union hall on South Columbus Blvd (at Washington).

Volunteer shifts on Tuesday, May 15th are scheduled as follows:

Shift 1 -- 8:00 AM
Shift 2 -- 1:00 PM
Shift 3 --  4:00 PM

When union members vote, workers win!
