Teachers at Los Angeles schools, including a few charter schools, began striking on Monday January 14th. The community is turning out in full force in support, and the teachers won't stand down until an agreement is reached.
UTLA educator and community demands include reduced class size, improved school safety, less testing and more teaching, investments in community schools, fair wages, more support for students and families, charter school oversight, and more funding for schools.
