Labor Day Art Contest

Each year, the Philadelphia AFL-CIO is proud to partner with the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers Local 3 to host the Tri-State Labor Day Dan Ezzio Memorial Labor Day Art Contest, which is open to all Philadelphia area students in grades 5-12. The students are tasked with making either a button (grades 5-8) or poster (grades 9-12) that depict “What Labor Day Means to Me”. In addition to cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in both categories, the winners are also invited to ride on our Labor Day Parade float.
