Millions Excluded from Paid Leave During Pandemic

In the Families First Coronavirus Relief Act (FFCRA) the Department of Labor under the Trump Administration issued a temporary exemption on the availability of paid leave to some employers. This included 9 million healthcare workers, businesses with under 50 employees, and 4.4 million first responders.

The Trump Administration continues to fail America during the coronavirus pandemic with the actions taken against workers and threats to stop negotiations for a new stimulus until the election is over.

Joe Biden has a comprehensive coronavirus relief plan and the experience to see it through. Joe’s plan does not include restrictions that will leave healthcare workers, first responders, and millions of Americans without the benefits they deserve.

Instead of limiting paid leave for workers who could get sick or need to care for sick family members during a global crisis, Joe wants to give people support. His plan to get people back to work while keeping families and communities safe during these unprecedented times includes the paid time off necessary to recover or help your loved one recover, from illness.
