Labor 2018 door-to-door canvass

Pennsylvania's voters will cast votes on November 6th for Governor, Senator, and numerous state legislative races. And that means it's time for union members to get to the polls and make sure that our voice is heard -- and that pro-worker, pro-union candidates win!

Starting on Saturday, September 15th, the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO will run our door-to-door canvass of union households in Philadelphia -- union members volunteering to talk to other union members about what's at stake on November 6th, and why we need to reelect Governor Tom Wolf and Senator Bob Casey, along with elected the rest of our union-endorsed candidates from the top to the bottom of the ballot.

Don't just wish that we could elect leaders who will stand up for us, instead of for corporations and the wealthy -- do something about it! Come volunteer for the Philadelphia AFL-CIO's Labor 2018 canvass!

This year, we're making the transition to paperless canvassing -- download the MiniVAN app to your phone, and you won't have to carry paper lists and a pencil when you're out knocking on doors. You'll have the full list of names and addresses right there on your phone, and when you mark the results of your conversations, the data will update on the main database! Here's a quick video explaining how MiniVAN canvassing works.

We will run canvasses from two locations:

  • South Philly Canvass: Seafarers International Union, 2604 S. 4th St (at Oregon Ave), Philadelphia PA 19148
